Great Streaming Handheld
I had been on the fence over purchasing one of these for a while. I like the premise but the casting from your PS5 felt limiting. After some great updates you can now stream a lot of your owned games and others through PS Premium which has made this a new favourite handheld of mine. I would always advise checking out reviews before you purchase but for me, it has been a worthwhile purchase. The console is well packaged and really feels like a premium product. Sleek design and the light bars up the side of the screen on the controller are stylish. Now to get through my backlog...

While this can be used in this way, the connection will be the determine factor, you will need a Mi-Fi or mobile hotspot that allows connections over Wi-Fi to be able to use it this way. This is designed though to be used in the same household as the PS5.

From the information available. You do require a Playstation console that must be switched on, to be able to use the Remote Portal. It streams games from your PS5 over your home Wi-Fi. Just ensure your PS5 is on and connected to the internet.

Both your PS5 console and the remote player will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi connection; This does not have to be the same Wi-Fi connection , so you can use the remote player away from home.

Using the PlayStation Portal Remote Player and PlayStation Remote Play does not require a PlayStation Plus membership. If you are using Remote Play to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership to access multiplayer, then you would need to have an active membership to access that game’s multiplayer features.
