In celebration of a legendary chair. This is our take on the classic wooden bistro design that's graced European cafes for over 100 years. Boldly iconic. As part of Habitat's 60th anniversary we've re-introduced this pair of solid wood chairs in a bright limited-edition red. This style has been in and out of Habitat's collection over the past 30 years and this latest incarnation was in 2016.

Originally known as a Thonet chair, after German cabinet make, Michael Thonet, who in 1859 finally discovered an affordable way to steam and bend wood.

Habitat chairs
The chairs are iconic, though the colour is more subued than it appears on the photo and the finish more matt. Excellent value.

Lovely cafe style chairs . Light red matt finish much better than appears online. One of mine arrived with one leg broken off and I had a struggle to find a replacement. Phone system with overseas staff nonsensical.
