Lovely solid small desk
Love this desk. My sons room is small and this desk for just right. I would've preferred more surface space as he loves to do arts and crafts but we needed a small desk for the space. It's perfect for doing homework on, colouring, eating etc. He loves it. I love the slide out drawer, it's small and shallow but handy, I love the little cubby hole too, he puts his daily drawings in there until I store them away. The desk is solid, I built it myself, my 6 yr old helped. Instructions were sort of clear, it was done within an hour.

Good Desk, but unclear instructions
Bought this to use a dressing table, the instructions were tricky to follow, ended with 1 screw not being used as it was impossible to put in where stated. the drawer is a bit stiff, but the tracks were probably slightly out of alignment. overall, a good product

Terrible design for assembly - but pretty desk
The desk was assembled by my son, who is a joiner. He couldn't believe how badly it had been designed as a piece of flat pack furniture. It didn't even come with any screw holes on the base of the drawer. If it wasn't for him, I would never have been able to assemble it. However, now it is assembled, it does look nice.

Good quality when assembled
I am happy with the purchase overall. Assembly was a bit fiddly, as there were a couple of typing errors in the instructions (some drilled holes were shown in the wrong places on the pictures). We just went with common sense, and it all fitted together fine in the end. Once assembled, it seems to be neat, sturdy, true to size.

Too time consuming on putting it together.
This was too time-consuming to put together. The instructions weren’t all that clear and mistakes were made only having to take even more time to fix. So many parts and the desk itself is very heavy! However, if you manage to put it together, the desk itself is very nice. I wish I would have but a preassembled one.

Great small desk
My daughters share a room so space is tight but this desk fitted the bill perfectly for my 13 year old. It was also pretty easy for her to build with minimum assistance from her dad. Personally I feel like this was a great purchase for the price and I would buy it again.

After looking at the assembly instructions for the Habitat Pepper 1 Drawer Desk - White, it would not be possible to leave the draw and shelf section out, as this is the centre section which supports the top. It may be possible to add castors if you need to make this a little higher?

The supplier has advised construction of Habitat Pepper 1 Drawer Desk - White (4706434) does not allow to place the drawer on the left side.

I can confirm that the surface of the desk is 80cm x 40cm and would be suitable for most monitors, including 27inch, but it will also depend on the size of the stand and if you want to place keyboard, mouse on there.
