Great fit and really effective
I was pleasantly surprised by the Hilka Children’s Ear Defenders. At first, I didn’t think they would be big enough, but they actually adjust much further than expected. They fit both my 5-year-old and my 8-year-old comfortably. My 8-year-old used them at a school disco and said they worked really well, giving him the noise reduction he needed without feeling uncomfortable. Overall, a great product that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Would definitely recommend!

Essential not "Insane"
Brought these for my boy for fireworks night. He has sensory processes difficulties and Autism. They are great they help him regulate and he is able to take part in things he lives. As Richard Tice a reform politician recently called them Insane, I'd call then essential.

I got them for my 8 year old as she's got sensitive hearing and they've helped her so much. The only down side is that they are slightly tight for her head but other than that they're worth the money.

No its the pressure not the noise that effects ears
On airplanes, it is the pressure change due to altitude that can cause ear problems such as popping and pain. I really doubt these headphones would do anything to help with that as they are designed to protect against excessive noise.
