About this product
The British made Homewoood Jersey 13x7 shed gives you generous storage space for your bikes, garden equipment, tools etc. For strength and rigidity it is clad in high grade 12mm shiplap (T&G) boards over 34mm square framing. A T&G timber floor is included. This shed has 136cm wide by 171cms high double doors for ease of access and 3 joinery quality opening windows for light and ventilation. The wood is all slow grown, sustainably sourced and FSC approved. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver this product to Northern Ireland.
This building comes complete with a floor. To maintain the guarantee we strongly recommend the shed to be assembled on a flat and level foundation such as concrete, paving slabs or a proprietry building base. This foundation is not included, just the floor.
The building has a basecoat treatment ready for topcoating by the customer immediately on assembly. The top coat may be a stain or other good quality exterior wood paint. We recommend annual re treatement of the building to maintain the anti-rot guarantee and to keep it strong and weatherproof.

Great looking shed
So I managed to put this up myself. The floor is the tricky bit as there's not much holding it all tight together. But as soon as that's in the rest goes up quickly. The glass beading needed a little trim on only one piece on each pain of glass. We painted the panels as we put them up and the windows before putting them in. Another bonus is the 3 sections of roof felt are all the right lengths. Shame the tacks are a little short so I got some longer ones. Easy to put up in a day.
High quality and well built. Well pleased. Good instructions.Highly recommend.
shed looks good if you take your time
the shed looks good and if you take your time every part goes to- gether well.the roof panels are a bit thin but should be fine, the felt is rubbish as are the felt tacks, but a good thick felt and you will have a really nice shed.

The base size required is:
You would lay the base so that the larger dimension is in line with where the 13ft side will be and the smaller dimension where the 7ft side would be.

Our wooden and plastic sheds come supplied with floors but still need to be built on a strong, level base.
I would advise that this Homewood Jersey Shiplap (Apex) Wooden Garden Shed - 7 x 13ft should not be placed directly on to grass, earth or sand - it needs a base to secure it to the ground and stop it moving. You need a strong level base such as concrete, paving slabs or tarmac, which should be the same size or a few cms larger than your shed. Your shed should also be anchored to the base with bolts or screws.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
