You get what you pay for
The record player was well packed. It worked. But it jumped on records that my, admittedly more expensive model, didn’t. And the sound became tiring as the speakers are so small and tinny. I think this might be suitable for youngsters, but you really do need to pay a lot more to get a decent Allen one record player.

Great looking retro record player
I brought this a few weeks ago for my granddaughters birthday. She absolutely loves it but sometimes the has difficulty with it jumping. This is not due to the record itself as tested on other units or fluff on the needle so may need to return if persists. We love the retro style ann n d the way it sounds so hopefully once the skipping issues sorted it’s good value.

Fun to use for the price
I bought about a month ago. If you use the external speakers they sound quite tinny. This can be improved using headphones. The player jumped on almost every record new or old. After a little bit of research I have found that if you weight the stylus down (I have used blutack) then this can get rid of most of the jumping.

I can advise that the Bush Classic Turntable - Grey can be operated in America but there are some things to consider. The turntable operates on a 240v power supply and 50Hz frequency. A compatible transformer/converter to step up the voltage from 120v and the frequency down from 60Hz will be required.
