good standard face cream, however nothing special
I recently received Triple Active Day Moisturiser from L'Oreal for free in return for a honesty review, so after a months daily usage I feel confident to review this product as an average daily moisturiser. I'd be happy to use it everyday, however it's nothing special and there is nothing about it which stands out and makes me want to purchase it again over other creams I've used. My first thoughts when I received the cream in the post was of excitement, the external packaging seemed of high quality when compared to other high street store face creams. Inside the box the quality continued and the actual tub the cream was presented in has a nice reassuring weight to it and feels robust, especially compared to my current daily face cream. Although it did make me slightly concerned that when travelling as it would be heavy, however in my case this is only occasionally, so could be decanted into another container, however might be a consideration for a frequent traveller. The cream itself at first touch seemed thick and this made worried that it might be difficult to rub in and could look greasy, however these worries were eased when I applied it as it soaked in nicely as long as the correct amount is applied. I have used creams in the past which have been thinner, and although they run in nicely they are hard to apply as a little too uncontrollable, I do however prefer a cream in the middle, and would worry that if the weather was hotter the cream may feel a little too heavy. I think I would keep this as a cream for the cooler months (Winter, Late autumn and early spring). The thickness also made me concerned that will prolonged use I may find spots appearing, which has happened when using similar creams in the past. In this case I was presently surprised and after using daily for a month I am still spot free. The packaging seems to suggest that the cream protects the skin from UV, however it does not quantify this as a SPF rating. Therefore I would not be confident in using this in the summer as my skin burns very easily and I need to use SPF30 face cream during high summer and at least 15 from spring to avoid buring. I will consider using this cream during the duller months due to these reasons, however at this moment in time I do not feel able to use the product when the weather brightens up. Great cream
I received a pot of the L'oreal triple day cream to try. The packaging is good. The pot comes a small box. I liked the packaging as it made it feel more expensive that it actually is. The cream is a thick and rich. It goes on very easily and left my skin very hydrated. As with other high street brands, there was no film or residue left on my skin. My skin felt great throughout the day. I used this day cream exclusively for 7 consecutive days to see how it was. I had been suffering from dry/ flacky skin on my nose however this had resolved by the end of the 7 days. I was very impressed with this cream and definitely will be purchasing in future. The only thing I would have loved the cream to have was an spf. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Smooth Soft Silky Skin
I was lucky enough to receive the Triple Active Day Moisturiser to try for free from L'Oreal. At first I was worried that it would be too heavy on my skin but I was pleasantly surprised! It has a thick luxurious texture without being greasy and immediately made my skin feel soft and silky. I imagine the pot will last me a long time as a little goes a long way and the softness lasts all day so there's no need to reapply. It claims to protect your skin and it definitely feels like it's doing the job! I always let my moisturuser sink into my skin for 10-15 minutes before applying make up; my make up went on smoothly and didn't become oily throughout the day. I like the subtle fresh scent of the cream which adds to the indulgent feel. My dry patches improved within the first week of using the moisturiser and I will definitely be repurchasing!
