Toasting crumpets - in theory, yes you can - BUT - due to the weight of crumpets - far heavier than a slice of bread - causes the bread supports to be forced down to the bottom of the toaster and they get stuck, after which you have to manually pull them back up, and with each occasion, they are bending out of shape as they are quite flimsy. Also crumpets can get stuck in the toaster, which again, after extracting them, the bread supports are bent even more. I will no longer toast crumpets.
