Very easy to set up and use, sound quality is great with nice bass too, The speaker it's self has been well made and has good weight to it, On the whole worth the money and I'm well pleased with it.
Fab speaker. Easy to work and great sound
This speaker has an output of 16W and a battery life of up to 12 hours so, depending on the size of room you want to fill with sound, then this will do the job.

Sorry I haven't a clue what the spec of an Alexa Dot is (I wouldn't give one those house room!). I have a android pad an I-Pad and a Nokia phone. I can play to the speaker from any of them. I often have the speaker going in my Workshop/shed using my phone as a music source. It plays away quite happily while I am making a cuppa in the Kitchen 35 odd feet a away.
If your dot will TRANSMIT Bluetooth signals then I do not see why it would not work, Bluetooth is a universal standard. I suggest you ask your box of blacklegging binary bits "Alexa can you transmit to a bluetooth speaker?" if she says "yes" you are probably O.K.

I can confirm that the photograph is correct. The text is also correct. There is 1 internal speaker with 2 amplifiers - that's what you can see in the photo.
