Did exactly what we needed.
Bought these for my 6 year old hoping it would help her enjoy fireworks. She loves fireworks but her ears are very sensitive to noise so have never been able to go see any. We finally made it to a display, they gave her the confidence to go, they worked really well she was able to enjoy the night at a proper display.

Works
I bought them for my daughter just before Carnival. They fit perfectly and worked as needed

They do exactly what they're supposed to
My daughter uses these at school, since she wanted a colour of her choosing. They do exactly what they're intended to do and give her the security she needs during various moments of the day. Fine quality.

Works just as you need
Brought for my 4 year old for when things are too loud and making her uncomfortable. They’re perfect, block out just enough sound to make her not feel overwhelmed. Only issue would be she wouldn’t be able to use it as she got older has the headband isn’t adjustable, it’s one size so as her head got bigger it would be an issue.

Works perfectly
Needed ear defenders for my youngest with sensory issues, ordered from Argos, very quick and efficient service. For the price they're awesome, work really well.
Becky, 35 - 44, Lancashire
Works well
These ear defenders work really well at bringing the volume down for my daughter. We bought them after she struggled with the noise at a big family meal. They fold up quite small so easy to pop in my bag and take them with us when we're out and about

Hello, thank you for the question. These are suitable for Children up to the age of 7 so would not be suitable for your 14 year old. Argos only sell children ear defenders however if you search for Hilka ear defenders on google you will find a suitable set. Regards, Hilka Tools
Hello, thank you for the question. The size of the ear cup section of the headphones is H10.5, W8. The age recommendation is 3 years and over but it is important to ensure the ear cups form a good seal to ensure they work effectively. Regards, Hilka Tools
Hello, thank you for the question. Yes these would be suitable for most concerts. The ear defenders have a protection level of 27dB SNR. This means if the concert was say 100dB the ear protection would take that to 73db for the user. Normal conversation to give a benchmark is around 50-60db. As a guide for a child the noise including the reduced db level from the ear defenders should be under 80db. It would thus be a consideration to check with the organisers the expected DB level of the concert as i am sure these will vary depending upon the type of concert. The above is very much a guide only and will vary from concert and child. Other factors such as indoor / outdoor and distance from the speakers will also affect the total db level of an event. The following from the World Health Organisation (Who) goes into more details about noise and children: https://www.who.int/ceh/capacity/noise.pdf.... Regards, Hilka Tools
