Working well and very happy with it. It is quite big and heavy. It's not exactly loud but its not quiet either, if I was trying to read or sleep in the same room it would be pretty distracting but it's grand when you're in a different room

Great buy
We bought this for our caravan but decided to try it out at home first and it's been here ever since. We use it to dry our laundry and the amount of water it collects is unbelievable. It's quiet to run but it is very heavy although it does have a handle. Haven't used it on any other mode so can't comment. Glad we bought it .

Overall excellent but...
Although this a dehumidifier, which it does very well, it is also an awesome air purifier. It has noticeably reduced dust in the room and I am breathing far better at night. Allergies seem to have reduced quite a lot. Not overly noisy (a low hum, good if you like white noise) and easy to move between rooms. However, only downside is the replacement filters are fairly pricey for what they are but when ordered direct from MEACO they arrived extremely quickly. The water tank fills up over night so is definitely pulling the water out the air very well. Overall 8/10 for quality, efficiency and ease of use, extracts very well but filters are expensive.

Excellent piece of kit. Not noisy, does a great job of achieving, and keeping, chosen humidity level. Very good at accelerating clothes drying. Wasn’t bought with this in mind but definitely a welcome bonus.

Fabulous! Wish purchased long ago...
Bought about 2 weeks ago, to mainly rid humidity in our flat, and also to help with laundry. Well worth the price, wish I had bought ages ago! The amount of water collected from room and laundry is unbelievable! Easy to move around, by handle and it's wheels. Not that noisy either. Have yet used the HEPA filter yet, not needed to as yet. Would definitely recommend to anyone with condensation and mould in home or flat.

Game changer
The Meaco Arete One 12L is effective and fairly quiet, though it produces a steady fan-like hum. Running constantly, it needs emptying about once a day. It’s definitely reduced moisture and made the room feel less damp.

For the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier.
The instruction manual states: ''Replacing the HEPA filter.
The dehumidifier comes with a H13 HEPA filter. This HEPA filter can be inserted into the dehumidifier to enable air purification, however this is optional - the dehumidifier can be used without the HEPA filter, this means it will dehumidify the air only and not purify it.
Although we do highly recommend using the dehumidifier with a HEPA filter, if you would like a quieter unit, removing the HEPA filter will reduce the noise level by 4-5 decibels.
• The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will need replacing roughly every 3 months).
• The HEPA filter can be hoovered every so often to remove any dust or dirt.
• To insert/replace the HEPA filter place it inside the combined filter case and dust filter, then slide the combined filter case and dust filter into the dehumidifier.
• Replacement HEPA filters can be purchased from Meaco.''

"Assuming you are asking about the HEPA filter in the Meaco Arete One 12L Dehumidifier & Air Purifier, it is designed to retain 99.75% of particles as small as 0.3 micrometers in diameter. This includes common airborne impurities such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and other fine particles."

I can advise that this dehumidifier is not designed to heat up the room, however the dried air is passed over heating coils before
it is blown into the room as part of the dehumidification process.

Once it has reached the desired humidity it stops but the display stays on, it then re checks the humidity every 20 mins or so. So it doesnt continually run.

The water tank holds 2.5 litres, but the frequency it needs to be emptied will depend on the humidity of the room; For dry rooms, it will need to be emptied less often than humid rooms.
