poor product, not worth the money
Poor performance, doesn’t pick up dust at the edge of rooms, even small debris in the middle of the room doesnt get picked up. the flap that empties the dust out when self emptying doesn't close and the dust all falls out, during use the flap may then be open. Overall not powerful enoughevwn on the boost function, the flap part for self emptying feels flimsy and cheap. Battery life is too short.

Replaced Dyson v8, just as good and nice features.
I bought this to replace a Dyson V8 Animal. I'd say it's just about as good, but the fact that I can just plonk it back on its dock and not worry about emptying the dust collection bucket for a week or so makes it a bit easier, I guess. I really like the dual head on this. On the Dyson, you had to switch between hard floor and carpet heads, whereas this does it all. Personally, I'd prefer for it to have a trigger to start vacuuming, but my wife prefers just pressing a button for it to come on. It automatically changes power depending on whether you're on a hard floor or carpet, so that's a nice feature. I wish it could have come with a proper stair cleaning attachment like the Dyson, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. I've not had to worry about battery life as I get round the whole house no problem. I guess ill check back with shark what they have in about 3-4 years as that seems to be about the time I fancy a change.

Bought two weeks ago and already disappointed with how quick the battery is losing charge. Does the job but it’s nothing special. Not worth the money just buy a corded one if you want any suction power

I’ve had this Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum with the Auto-Empty System for about 10 months. It was great at the beginning, but for a product that’s not even a year old, it’s extremely disappointing. The self-emptying flap has to be closed manually, and the small flap in the pipe doesn’t close properly, so when you turn the vacuum off, debris falls back down the pipe and onto the floor. On top of that, the battery life is very poor and only lasts long enough to clean about two rooms.

The brushroll will not switch on on its own while the vacuum is in the upright position. The brushroll will only activate when you place your foot on the nozzle to disengage the lock.

This unit provides three flexible charging options. It can be charged by positioning the unit on the dock, inserting the charger into the port situated below the handle of the handheld vacuum, or directly charging the battery once it has been removed from the handheld.
Using a bag inside the Auto-Empty base is not advisable, as it could interfere with the proper extraction of dust and debris from the Handvac dust cup into the sealed base of the Auto-Empty dock following every clean.
It is important to note that this model is equipped with a power cord, which means it does not come with removable batteries.
The cord to charge the base of this vacuum is 1.2 meters and can be plugged into any UK standard socket.
