Fantastic value for money camera
Installed the camera two days ago and so far have been very impressed. The field of view is wider than the older camera it replaced. It's ability to distinguish between people and vehicles is impressive, as is the night vision using the in-built IR feature. Another benefit for me was the fact the plug at the camera end is a 'normal' (quite small diameter) one as opposed to many cameras that seem to have opted for USB-a type. This means just a small(ish) hole through my garage wall. The App is also quite easy to use and provides the ability to quickly take snapshots of the footage or video clips and save them straight to the phone. The ability to slow down (or speed up) the video replay is brilliant! Overall, excellent value for money :)

Great camera
Got this to replace the terrible nest after google bought them out and ruined them. This is so much better, Night vision is crystal clear, the light is a great addition and at only £2.50 subscription (dont have to have it works great without) its a no brainer. wi-fi is easily and so much better with connection and easier to set up, no scanning the bar codes and having to remove the camera every time

Bought this as wasnt wanting to increase ring subscription and soon discovered I could connect it up as an IP camera to a DVR - much better than the ring set up I had and would thoroughly recommend to anyone if they have a dvr for it to work with

Hi,
It depends on the recording schedule you configure. The C320WS supports continuous recording.
You can set up a recording schedule on the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page, and customize the time periods for detection recording or continuous recording. During the detection recording period, the camera will only record when triggered by a detected event.
Please note that to enable continuous recording, you need a microSD card. Insert the microSD card into the camera and initialize it using the Tapo app.

If you have many cameras you can buy a H500 Tapo hub and a small HDDSSD hard drive which is what I did so lots of memory instead of separate sd card

The supplier has advised the following for the Tapo C320WS 2K Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera:
"You do not need an SD card to use the camera. The SD card is mainly for local video storage. You can set up and use your Tapo camera without an SD card, and it will still work for functions like live view and cloud recording (if you subscribe to Tapo Care). However, if you want to store recordings locally on the camera, you will need to insert a microSD card. You can also choose to use cloud storage via Tapo Care, which does not require an SD card. Without either Tapo Care or an SD card, you can manually record from live view, but only while the Tapo app is open and active.
If you decide to use a microSD card, you can insert it after setup, and you’ll be prompted to format it in the app for compatibility. Please note that formatting will erase all existing data on the card."

You don't need an SD card for the initial setup. The SD card is primarily used for local video storage. However, the camera can function without it during the setup process. You can insert an SD card for the local recording after setting up the camera.

Yes it can,i have just bought the tapo C320ws and it can be mounted vertically or under eves,2 mountain positions not just on a vertical wall.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Tapo C320WS 2K Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera.
The exact dimensions of the power plug aren’t listed in the official specification, but based on similar models, it’s approximately 55 mm × 25 mm × 35 mm (for reference only). This should help you check if it will fit your outdoor socket, though the size may vary slightly between production batches.
Please also note that the adapter is designed for indoor use only, in areas where the temperature does not exceed 40 °C.
