Important recycling & connection info

Washing machines, dishwashers & fridge-freezers

  • The appliance being recycled must be a similar size to the one being installed. We're sorry, but we're currently unable to collect American-style fridge-freezers (side-by-side ones).

  • Existing pipework, electrical connections and sockets need to be accessible and within 1 metre of your new appliance. (We won’t be able to do any plumbing repairs or electrical work.)

  • If we’re unable to connect your appliance due to one of the above checks not taking place, we will not be able to refund your delivery and connection charge. (This of course does not affect your statutory rights.)

  • If you don’t want us to install your new appliance, but would still like us to take away and recycle your old one, that’s absolutely fine. We’ll take your old one away when we deliver the new one.

Cookers

  • Our connection service is only available for selected cookers and ovens. Just look out for any installation and recycling options on the page of your chosen item.

  • We can only connect gas cooking appliances where there’s a supply of natural gas (as opposed to calor gas). If we’re unable to connect your appliance due to there not being a supply of natural gas, we will not be able to refund your delivery and connection charge. (This of course does not affect your statutory rights.)

  • If you don’t want us to install your new appliance but would still like us to take away and recycle your old one, that’s absolutely fine. We’ll take your old one away when we deliver the new one.

Mattresses

  • Ordered a mattress and paid for recycling? We’ll send you a green recycling bag via 1st class post. Then all you need to do is bag-up your mattress before it’s collected. Magic.

Ts and Cs

Recycling is only offered through our home delivery service on the purchase of selected mattresses. Business customers are excluded from this offer. And the offer applies to the UK and Northern Ireland only (it’s not available in ROI).
