Coronavirus service impacts

Following guidelines, we have made changes across our stores for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We’ve also extended our returns policy – any purchases made from 18 October 2020 can be returned up to 24 January 2021. Item(s) purchased before 18 October 2020, will still fall within our usual 30 days returns guarantee.

Our stores are busiest between 3-5pm but less so at the start and end of the day. Please see below for the latest updates to stores in your area, or read our helpful FAQs. For the latest changes to shopping in store, click here.

Changes to stores in England and Wales

Argos stores and Argos stores within a Sainsbury’s supermarket are still open and operating as follows:

  • Open for the collection of pre-paid online orders
  • Items can be purchased in-store
  • Items can still be returned
  • Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

Changes to stores in Scotland

From 6pm on Friday 20 November until Friday 11 December, the selected stores listed here, are open for the collection of pre-paid online orders and returns only. Our remaining open stores will be operating as follows:

  • Open for collection of pre-paid online orders only
  • Items can be purchased in-store
  • Items can still be returned
  • Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

Changes to stores in Northern Ireland

From Friday 27 November, Argos stores and Argos stores within a Sainsbury’s supermarket will be operating as follows:

  • Open for collection of pre-paid online orders only
  • Collections from Argos stores and our Forestside store, will be given to you outside the door
  • You will not be able to purchase items in any store
  • Items can only be returned to an Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket, except for our Forestside store
  • Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.
