Following guidelines, we have made changes across our stores for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

To avoid any non-essential journeys, we’ve also extended our returns policy – any purchases made from 18 October 2020 can be returned up to 24 January 2021. Item(s) purchased before 18 October 2020, will still fall within our usual 30 days returns guarantee.

Please read below for the latest updates for stores in your area, returning items and our Click & Collect service. You can also continue to order online for doorstep delivery.

We are working hard to ensure we are offering the best service possible during this time, and we thank you for helping us keep our customers and colleagues safe. 

    Changes to our stores...

    Please note, for the safety of our customers and colleagues, we are limiting the number of customers in our stores and you may need to queue before entering. We're busiest between 3-5pm but less so at the start and end of the day. You will also need to wear a face covering and follow the social distancing recommendations. To keep your visit as safe and short as possible, we encourage you to collect or return any items whilst doing your essential food shopping. And remember, our extended returns policy means you don’t need to return items until 24 January 2021.

      England.

      In England

      From Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December, Argos stores and Argos stores within a Sainsbury’s supermarket will be operating as follows:

      - Open for collection of pre-paid online orders only

      - Collections from Argos stores will be given to you outside the door.

      - You will not be able to purchase items in any store

      - Items can only be returned to an Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket

      - Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

        Wales.

        In Wales

        Argos stores and Argos stores within a Sainsbury’s supermarket are open and operating as follows:

        - Open for the collection of pre-paid online orders

        - Items can be purchased in-store

        - Items can still be returned

        - Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

          Scotland.

          In Scotland

          From 6pm on Friday 20 November until Friday 11 December, the selected stores listed here are open for the collection of pre-paid online orders and returns only. Our remaining open stores will be operating as follows:

          - Open for collection of pre-paid online orders

          - Items can be purchased in-store

          - Items can still be returned

          - Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

            Northern Ireland.

            In Northern Ireland

            Argos stores and Argos stores within a Sainsbury’s supermarket are still open and operating as follows:

            - Open for the collection of pre-paid online orders

            - Items can be purchased in-store

            - Items can still be returned

            - Our delivery, installation and recycling services are still available.

              Whilst in-store

              To keep your visit as safe and short as possible, here's what you'll need to do:

              - Pay for your order online

              - Choose home delivery where you can

              - Or collect whilst picking up essential shopping

              - Follow social distancing guidelines

              - Remember your facemask

              - Use hand sanitiser as you enter

              We are also limiting the number of customers in our stores, so you may need to queue before entering.

                Paying in-store

                Following guidelines, we have made some changes to how you can pay in-store:

                In England - From Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December, you will not be able to purchase items within any Argos store.

                In Scotland - From 6pm on Friday 20 November to Friday 11 December, you will not be able to purchase items within the selected stores listed here. You can continue to shop as normal in our remaining open stores.

                In Wales and Northern Ireland - You can continue to shop and pay in-store.

                  To make collecting your order as easy as possible, we've made a few changes:

                  In England - From Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December, you can collect pre-paid online orders from an Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury's supermarket. Collections from an Argos store will be given to you outside, at the door.

                  In Scotland - From 6pm on Friday 20 November to Friday 11 December, the selected stores listed here are open for the collection of pre-paid online orders and returns only. Our remaining stores are open as normal. 

                  In Wales and Northern Ireland - You can continue to collect from any Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury's supermarket.

                  To avoid unessential journeys, we’ll hold your order up to 7 days, so you can collect your order whilst doing your essential shopping.

                    Returns update

                    If you do need to return an item, we recommend doing so whilst picking up your essential food shop. Here's what you need to know:

                    In England - From Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December,  you can only return items to Argos stores within a Sainsbury's supermarket.

                    In Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland - You can return items to any open Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury's supermarket.

                    We have also extended our returns policy - any purchases made from 18 October 2020 can be returned up to 24 January 2021. Returns will need to be in-line with our returns policy. 

                    We're currently unable to accept returns of large items to any store but you can arrange a collection with our Live Chat team.

                      Home delivery update.

                      Home delivery update

                      Delivery of larger items is now available, allowing us to deliver to your room of choice where it’s safe to do so. Our friendly drivers will contact you on the day to discuss delivering your order. If you are self-isolating, please make us aware so we can rearrange your delivery date.

                      For smaller items available with same day Fast Track delivery, choose from a choice of time slots.

                        Installation & recycling update

                        You can still book our installation and recycling service on washing machines, washer dryers, dishwashers and freestanding cookers. We can also take away and recycle your old mattress when we deliver your new one.

                        We have temporarily removed our installation and recycling services for our other home appliances, but are working to have these back up and running in the coming weeks.
