Playhouse ideas
Convert an ordinary wooden playhouse into your kid's little dream house with fun decorating ideas you can do together.

Pick your playhouse
Make a playhouse
All of our wooden playhouses come flat-packed and will need to be assembled at home. Instruction manuals will be included with each to help guide you through the process. But as a general rule, you should build from the bottom up and for more complex playhouses ensure the main structure is in place before filling in the gaps.
Painting a playhouse
Coat it with colour
Keep the look simple inside and out with block colours. Let your kids choose whatever colour they want, no matter how wacky, and get painting together.
Glitz it up
Add a little sparkle with glitter paint, whether that's painting an entire wall or just a few hints here and there. Why not make some stencils with the kids to create cool, glittery wall designs?
Fun feature walls
Writing on the walls doesn't have to be bad. Give your child the ultimate excuse by creating a blackboard feature so they can draw and write 'til their heart's content. Some chalkboard paint is even magnetic adding an extra dimension of fun.
Decorating a playhouse
Add charm and character
Transform the outside into a cute little cottage with a few plants and fairy lights. And if the playhouse is in a big enough space to have its own little garden, add some outdoor toys and children's garden furniture to create the perfect play area.
Create a homely hideaway
Turn the inside into a dream hangout for your kids. Kit it out with toy kitchens and other role play sets for a realistic house-feel. And make it extra cosy with bean bags, rugs and more.
