If they fit - they'll sit

What are the different pet bed sizes available to you?

Small pet beds

Usually 50-60cm in diameter, these little loungers are ideal for small cats or dogs like Chihuahuas or Yorkshire Terriers.

Medium pet beds

For larger cats or small dogs like a Pug or Dachshund, look for a bed between 60-70cm in diameter for extra comfort.

Large pet beds

Dogs such as Beagles or Whippets suit larger spots. Beds with a diameter between 70-80cm offer space to curl up or stretch out.

Extra-large pet beds

These average between 80-90cm and will comfortably fit bigger dogs such as Collies, Labradors or Dalmatians.

Pick the best material for your pet

Plastic pet beds

Practical, durable and low maintenance – these are seen as more hygienic as they don’t retain water and are easy to clean. Just pop in a cushion or blanket for added cosiness.

Waterproof pet beds

These will not absorb water or any other liquids and can be wiped clean. Making them ideal for pups who love to play in ponds…puddles…any pool of water!

Memory foam pet beds

Help your four-legged friend settle down with a memory foam mattress. They provide ultimate comfort, supporting your pet’s weight whilst moulding to their body shape.

Dog beds

Beds with sides

These tend to have 3 higher sides, and one lowered side for easy access. Great for dogs to lean against, and help them feel safe and snug once they settle down.

Cushions or mattresses

Providing a bit more space, these are ideal for dogs that prefer to stretch out. For ultimate comfort, why not treat your fluffy family member to a memory foam mattress or dog blanket?

Cat beds

Interactive beds

For curious cats, try a multi-functional bed. Look for scratching posts they can climb, or attachments that’ll help tire them out.

Igloo beds

Ultimate hibernation. An igloo bed provides all-round shelter for optimum cosiness. This design gives your little furball a safe and secure place to curl up.

Cat radiator beds

Cat naps are much nicer when they’re warm and cosy. These beds provide warmth from your radiator and gives them a higher place to perch.

Smart pet beds

The Smart Cozy Pet House lets you know when your pet is home. You can also regulate the temperature inside the pod, all from an app on your phone.

Top tips for the best kip

For senior pets

Memory foam or orthopaedic beds will help support aging joints and offer a more relaxing sleep. Pick a bed with easy access for them, as well as warm cosy materials.

Dogs who like to chew

Durable materials like plastic or wicker, should withstand testing teeth. Avoid beds with extra attachments such as zips or buttons – it might encourage curious minds.

Pets with allergies

A hypoallergenic bed is probably best as it’s designed to be more sensitive to your pet’s skin. Pick a washable bed or cover too, so you can easily keep it in tip-top condition.

Bed maintenance

Most pet beds are machine washable, or have removable covers and padding. In between washing, try a pet vacuum cleaner which’ll help remove stubborn fur.
