FITBIT have announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.

This recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.

The health and safety of Fitbit users is their highest priority. They are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. They will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.

The Source are recalling the above 2m LED Strip lights. They have identified that this product presents a risk to young children, as the battery cover can be removed with one action, allowing easy access to the battery. If the battery is swallowed there is a high risk of burns to internal organs.

What do I need to do?

Product identified by a label “KitSound/KSFUN25” located on the charging case within the earbud recess.

All batches and all colours are affected by this product recall notice.

There is a risk of overheating of the charging case if it is connected to a charging device or power source which inputs more than 5 volts. There is a burn risk if the charging case overheats and is subsequently touched.

What do I need to do?

  • Stop using the product immediately.
  • Please return your KS Funk25 (charging case must be included) to the retailer you purchased the product from to receive a full refund of £30. You do not need proof of purchase.
  • Alternatively, please visit and follow the instructions to return the product to Kondor free of charge and claim a voucher up to the value of £30.
