The Big Night In. An appeal to support those in need during this crisis

Argos are part of the Sainsbury's business who are partnering with Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need, to support people and local communities during the coronavirus crisis. They’re encouraging donations online, in-store and with Nectar – as well as matching total money raised by our customers, so donations can go twice as far to help those in our communities who need support the most. The money raised by the Sainsbury’s business and The Big Night In will be split equally between Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need to support people living incredibly tough lives in the UK, who will be hit hardest by the coronavirus crisis. You can donate your Nectar points through the Nectar app and website, every 500 points is £2.50 donated.

All donations will be split between two charities. 50% of donations will be paid to Comic Relief which is the trading name of Charity Projects (Registered charity in England and Wales, charity number 326568 and in Scotland, charity number SC039730) and 50% of donations will be paid to BBC Children in Need (Registered charity in England and Wales, charity number 802052 and in Scotland, charity number SC039557). The Big Night In is a joint initiative between Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need.

Helping people who need it most

The money raised by Sainsbury’s and The Big Night In will be split equally between BBC Comic Relief and Children in Need and will go on to support vital local charities and projects in the UK, which are providing urgent and essential help to people most in need. Including vulnerable children and young people, people who are homeless or living in extreme poverty, women and families at risk of domestic abuse and those struggling with existing or new mental health problems – amongst many others. Sadly, it is the most vulnerable amongst us who will be hit hardest by the coronavirus crisis.

Together, Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need are working closely together to make sure we give funding in the most effective way possible, to help people in most need.
