Remember when you were younger and nothing prompted your adventurous streak like a playground with slides? Well, now you can instil that in your very own garden for your little ones, no matter their age! Little Tikes first slides have chunky steps, easy to climb, and moulded handrails. From there, they can progress onto galvanised steel structures - select a wide downward section so there's room for children to grow and play with friends of different ages.
Incorporate different types of play with a playhouse. How about a basic fabric pop-up wigwam, a plastic interactive house with multiple walls, or multi-storey wooden lodges for that true wow factor. And while you're making your garden every child's dream, have a look at a garden swing; ranging from simple toddler swings to something much more extravagant, whatever your budget and child's age there'll be a something perfect for them to play with.
If they're not quite old enough to play make-believe, but they still like to be active, try a babies' trike. These are much more interactive than sit-in prams, encouraging children to learn how to hold their balance, and propel themselves forwards with the pedals. Choose one with a handle on the back if you're likely to have to provide encouragement! If the weather isn't good enough to go adventuring out and about, ball pits will allow your little one to experiment with light, brightly coloured balls, learning grabbing skills.
