These will support your lower back and abdominal area and give you a real feeling of stability. Weightlifting gloves are also a must, providing comfort and grip when you’re pushing yourself to the limit.
If you’re setting up a home gym, your first purchase will probably be dumbbells. There are so many exercises you can do with dumbbells; bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, shoulder presses, lateral raises, lunges, squats. The list goes on. A kettlebell is also an effective piece of kit. You can exercise the whole body with a kettlebell, improving both your balance and your coordination, you’ll get a full cardiovascular workout. They’re great for all sorts of exercises, from sit-ups through to bench presses, leg extensions and squats. Some come complete with a basic weight set and you can always add to your collection.
