Bike lightsStay Safe On The Road With Bicycle Lights
Stay safe when riding in the dark with cycle lights. Installing bike lights will ensure you're clearly visible to other road users. We've got you covered with our fantastic range; a set featuring both front and rear lights will keep you safe all around. You might also consider reflective clip-ons for added safety; these will show up clearly in cars bright headlights when you're out on the road. LED bike lights are especially good for cycling in areas that are easily obscured. LED bike lights will give off a powerful beam of light, on both front and rear; and they have multiple settings to allow for a warning strobe of light too.
Bike Upgrades To Keep You Safe
As important as lights for your bike are, when it comes to overall safety, cycle helmets are another absolute must. They will protect the most vulnerable parts of your body whilst riding, skating or boarding.
Make sure your bike has the correct tyres for the terrain your riding on. Upgrade your bike tyres to ensure you always have the best grip, whether that's on the road, on the mountain or a bit of both. The same goes for the bike pedals. A BMXer might want some lightweight pedals, whereas a road biker may want a wider, grippier style pedal.
We take safety seriously, so you no longer have to juggle holding your phone and your balance. Bike bags are attachable to your handlebars and allow you to keep your phone in front of you and to cycle at the same time. And, what's best is there is room for snacks in there too!
One of the easiest ways you can keep your bike safe is by investing in a good bike lock. If your bike is small, one chain or D-lock should be sufficient, but if you have a large bike, or new tyres, it is well worth investing in two locks. Remember to thread your locks through the tyre spokes and around the frame for the most secure locking system.
Upgrading your whole bike but not sure which one to go for? As their name suggests, road bikes are built for tarmac roads and a fantastic choice if you want to race competitively, or if you like the idea of hitting the open roads for a speedy Sunday cycle - but if you want to tackle rougher terrain then you'll be much better off with a mountain bike. We have a fantastic range of bikes for kids as well - whether your little one is just starting to learn to cycle or they're a bit older and ready to lose the training wheels and get a stylish upgrade.
