Seeing wildlife take up residence in your garden can be a real joy and it’s easy to attract more birds to your garden with a little care and patience. Invest in a bird table or feeding station and set it up near to bushes or trees to give the birds some cover. Keep it well stocked with a variety of food; seeds, nuts and fat balls should keep most visitors happy. A bird box or two can provide safe nesting spots, and a bird bath is a lovely addition, you’ll be entranced by watching birds of all varieties taking a morning dip! Just remember to keep all your bird accessories clean to reduce the risk of spreading disease from one bird to another.
Adding a pond or a garden water feature is another way to bring in the wildlife, then just make sure you provide plenty of plants to attract insects and pollinators. If you only have a small garden, garden planters can be a simple way to add more flowers. Or grow a selection of pretty climbers along some trellis, or over a trellis arch or pergola. The options are endless.
