A great way to get into the Christmas spirit is by putting up some Christmas lights. The tradition of decorating Christmas trees started back in the 17th century. Back then people used candlelight around the tree, with the first string of Christmas lights created under the supervision of Thomas Edison a few years later. Nowadays we have an amazing selection of lights, from traditional bulbs to LED lights. You can choose static white or coloured lights or flashing lights. You can also choose lights to use outside so the garden can look as festive as the inside of our home.
A big part of getting set for Christmas is decorating the tree. If a real tree isn’t right for you, make sure you check out our range of Christmas trees. It doesn’t stop with the tree either; we have all sorts of Christmas decorations, from figurines and tinsel to baubles for the tree, as well as a great range of wreathes, garlands and Christmas door decorations to choose from. And although we wouldn’t recommend putting them in the tree, we also have Christmas candles, which can be used for different religious ceremonies or simply as a family tradition.
