Great product
Had this for a couple of weeks now and all is good. Easy to adjust voltage for the product that needs powering up. Saves a lot compared to keep buying batteries. For the price I’m glad I bought it

Hi Dee, thank you for your enquiry.
This adaptor is designed to create a stable low DC output voltage from a standard UK mains AC input, with the output voltage selectable between several pre-set options via a slider on the lower part of the outer face (as seen in the main image on this listing).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hello Hayley,
I can advise the following for the Masterplug Voltage Adapter,
It is suitable as long as the output of your router does not exceed the maximum output for the relevant voltage given,
3V, 4.5V, 5V = 1200 mA (max load of device to be powered) 6V, 9V = 1000 mA (max load of device to be powered) 12V = 900 mA (max load of device to be powered).
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Dan, thank you for your enquiry.
This Masterplug Voltage Adaptor is suitable for devices that have the following power requirements:-
3V, 4.5V, 5V = 1200 mA (max load of device to be powered) 6V, 9V = 1000 mA (max load of device to be powered) 12V = 900 mA (max load of device to be powered).
Information online indicates that the mentioned laptop requires 19V at 2.37A (so over 50% higher voltage and nearly 100% higher current than this voltage adaptor is designed to provide).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Dan, thank you for your enquiry.
Our technical information for the MVA1200 (our model code for this adaptor) has:-
Cable length:- 1.75m.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Nags head, thank you for your enquiry.
We are not familiar with these devices, and the internet doesn't show clearly what the power consumption is, so you would need to check that on the provided power supply or in the manual which came with it.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Sky, thank you for your enquiry.
Therefore the telescope's 750mA requirement at 12V DC falls within these capabilities.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi billy, thank you for your enquiry.
If you mean as a replacement for a 45 Watt laptop charger then absolutely not, this Multi-Voltage Adaptor has a maximum output of 10.8W.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Masterplug Voltage Adaptor: The polarity can be selected by altering the way the TIP is plugged in to the end of the cable.
To clarify, the word TIP is moulded into the socket on the end of the cable and each tip has a + on one side and a - on the other, whichever symbol is next to the word TIP is the centre polarity.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Karen,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Masterplug Voltage Adaptor: Yes, the MVA1200-MP can work as a replacement for a 5V 0.5A source, because it's a multi-voltage adapter that has a selectable 5V DC setting, but you must ensure the device needs DC, the plug fits, polarity is correct, and you select exactly 5V on the dial, as it provides up to 12V. An incorrect voltage or polarity can damage your device, so double-check the device's label for its exact requirements before plugging it.
Thank you for using Q&A.
