Ups and Downs First go with this order wasn't good - some major structures were missing in the box so had to head back to the store for another one (turned out all the bits that were missing were packaged together in one bag so that at least made sense as to why so many bits were missing). 2nd go - having been so excited initially about getting this product for my 20 month old son (who was gutted the day before as he was very upset at seeing his brand new toy getting packaged up to return!), I was very unhappy with the lift mechanism (very sticky and difficult for a baby to use), the tow truck got repeatedly stuck going around the looped track and he fixated on the helipad which comes off easily. Having had quite a few tellings off for removing the helipad (the lift / turntable doesn't work properly without it as the car shoots off the back of the garage!), he didn't want to play with it. I spoke to VTech and apparently it is a health and safety issue that the helipad (being of a certain height) should collapse if the child falls on it rather than it being 'clicked' firmly in place. They did confirm however that there shouldn't have been a problem with the lift or looped track so I went back for my 3rd attempt. This one has a better lift (although not totally smooth workings) and track and he does love playing with it but we've had to take it off him for a while as he's too interested in pulling it apart and potentially breaking it at the moment. I'm sure he'll enjoy it more when he's not so interested in how it works so much as all the features to play with! 28 May 2013

Toot toot garage A great first birthday present for babies 18 April 2013

Not the best value for money I purchased this for my sons first birthday as an extra spare of the moment present as it looked fab! After my husband assembled it which didn't take very long I was slightly disappointed as it is very basic and I have seen better ones for a lot less of the price. I also purchased another 3 trucks for the garage as it only comes with one. However my son likes playing with it which is the main thing but Wish I had shopped around to be honest. 02 April 2013
