"Although this is recommended for 8+ years, I got it for my 6 year old son's birthday. He loves it! It is quite heavy, but he manages it fine, although I don't really like having to carry it to the school! It does fold down really easily though. My last razor was rubbish (the cheapest one in the range) so I was a bit apprehensive about this one; however, it is really sturdy & good quality & my son hasn't trashed it yet like he did the other one in about 5 minutes! I had a go on it, but I found it impossible to control - however my kids age 6 & 8, and their dad have no problem at all!
The scooter is good fun as when you get bored of "plain" scooting you can er, "carve" from side to side. My son gets lots of envious glances & everyone wants a go on it, so overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
One thing, make sure you (pref dad) tighten the bolts before you let him out on it, as we have lost one of the red catches from the folding mechansim already. Doesn't seem to affect anything though...."
