Created for fast ironing, the 2400W Philips EasyCare GC8340 steam generator is ready to tackle your ironing pile within just 2 minutes. Its 4.5 bar pressure gives you up to 120g/min of continuous steam from its 1.4L tank and the Steam Trigger lock means you can have continuous steam without having to press the trigger all the time. The GC8340s non-stick ceramic soleplate has a unique steam tip, so even the smallest or most difficult areas will soon look well pressed. You can add water anytime to the easy-fill tank without having to wait for the iron to cool down. Permanent anti-calc tablets delay the formation of scale build up, ensuring better protection for your iron. The Eco settings saves you 20% energy and 40% water consumption.

"Was a little dubious about having another one , but can truthfully say this one was really simple to start up and choose temp etc.easy refill and tells you when need to. A good compact size, and lead storage around base of iron for good carrying. My ironing was done less then half the time . Very pleased Only downside it makes a noise when pump starts to feed steamed water through to iron. I can live with that."

"Difficult to get excited about an iron but I did purchase this steam generator on recommendation and extremely pleased. Continuous steam means reduced ironing time-reduced ironing time makes me happy! Expensive but worth the money if like me you have lots of ironing."

Well worth the money

"I bought this iron to replace my old Tefal steam Generator which blew up a few weeks ago!
I was a bit dubious because I have always bought Tefal irons, but this one is very good. I particularly like the fact that you can lock the steam button, so you dont get an aching finger like I used to with my old iron. The removable water tank is also a bonus. The only downside is that the water tank does empty after about 30 mins when you keep the steam button locked on, but yoy can turn the steam down to eco level to make it last longer. Overall a very good iron, I would definately recommend it."
