doesnt live up to the hype

"I iron a lot so I fell for the hype of this product..it is quite heavy, heavier than most other steam irons I have had, which if you are doing a large load of ironing is a pain. The point of the iron is not particularly thin so is not great for detailed ironing ie between buttons etc..you have to fill the large purple reservoir with water when you first switch the iron on and put in the 'filter' (these filters you have to buy every 3 months!!!!no mention of this in the product description and more expense for an already expensive product in a hard water area)
when the iron is switched on you have to continually press down a switch on the handle to keep the steam on (I find having to do this hardwork but maybe you get used to it), the machine then makes a buzzing noise all the time you're ironing( this is the water pump working). It irons ok but doesnt do anything spectacular. When you have to turn the iron down from 3(full heat) to anything lower for synthetics etc..THE STEAM FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK which I think is madness!!!
When you've finished ironing you have to empty the purple water reservoir, this involves shaking it upside down over the bath or a large sink as there is no easy way for the reservoir to be drained,the water has to come out of the hole you fill it with....this is a poor design feature.
Finally this is a large iron to find a place to store it, it takes up the space of about 2-3 regular irons."

"never had a steam iron like this before, its fantastic!! never will go back to another normal iron. if u dont have one, purchase one right away!! ironing will be pleasant (if that really exists) lol :) happy ironing peeps"

"As soon as I took the iron out of the box I put it back in and returned it. I have had irons like this before which need anti scale cartridges in and it works out too expensive"
