Answer:
I find that whether I am dry-ironing or steam ironing I generally have a water spray by me to help dampen items that are difficult to iron. I have never had any problems with getting creases out of pure cotton.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.

After looking into your query, I can appreciate that a darker colour (such as purple) may make the water level more difficult to determine, however the Swan SI3030N Ceramic Sole Steam Iron features a water level indicator which should allow you to see what level the water is at and prevent it from being over filled.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

There's a black coating on the ceramic soleplate that only comes off when ironing. eg my son's new Ted Baker white shirt. It will neither wipe off the iron or shirt.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and can confirm that the black coating on an iron is a build up of fabric that may have been burnt or scorched during ironing. There are products on the market that can remove these marks and can be purchased from any leading supermarket chain.

steam dial is it faulty

2 years, 3 months ago
Used for the first time following the notes in the book, have turned the "steam dial" to spray, to get "variable steam" ie continous steam on meduim heat. Nothing happened the only steam is when you press the "shot-steam button". Turned it on and off several times and finally the "variable steam" worked, just tried again and back to the first base. Is the "steam dial" faulty?
