"You cant really go wrong with Thomas can you? My little boy was very keen on this. It is well made too and will survive being dropped a bit, thank goodness."

Nice little toy train

"Unfortunately you cannot choose which of 4 trains you end up getting, so buying one is a bit of a lottery. It works well on the Tomy Plastic track, will not work on Wooden Brio Tracks. I got an Edward engine, which is fine except it is in two parts with the battery in the tender, and a permanent rubber and wire connection to the engine part. It has survived Ok for now, time will tell how robust it is.
It is also quite a bit slower than the Percy and Thomas trains we had already so they inevitably run into each other when used on the same circuit,"
