Targus USB Laser Presenter. 4.7 5 105 122
Excellent piece of kit I bought this to assist in the classroom for teaching. It is great value and works well. It's a little uncomfortable to hold all day due to its ridged design but for the money paid, it's fine. 24 June 2014
Targus USB Laser Presenter This product was disappointing. I bought it in a hurry as I needed it for a presentation the next day. I tried it out and it worked, but on the day the battery supplied with it failed and it did not work. The next time I used it was successful. However, the USB terminal is stored within the body of the device which necessitates opening the whole handset up before it can be extracted or reinserted. The USB terminal is very small so easily lost. The handset feels flimsy compared to others. 17 June 2014
A great little gizmo at good value I run a week-long training course every 6 weeks with a Powerpoint presentation at the core of it. My previous Laser Presenter was cumbersome and too small. This one is just the right size and easy to operate. The button that instantly blackens out the screen is a great feature. The neat stowage of the USB is clever. 27 May 2014
Just what we needed Stopped and bought this on the way to a meeting where we would be presenting a Powerpoint Presentation. Worked immediately and batteries were included too. 23 April 2014
Targus Laser Presenter I bought this product for interviews as a lecturer, I have used it 3 times in 3 different computers and it has worked every time. 22 April 2014

I would like to use this in school presentation, but I am concerned about the risk should a learner, use it without me being aware, a switch for the laser would give me a few more seconds to identify unauthorised use.

Answer:
Most presenters have the facility to press on the laser. I don't know about this one personally as I returned mine faulty, but it looked the same as others on the market.

Answer:
Hello,
As this uses AAA batteries, the battery life would depend on the type of battery used. Standard life Alkaline batteries last for approximately 30 hours of continuous use (ie, not 30 hours switched on, but performing an actual operation with the device).
Hope this helps and thanks for using Q&A

I have tried pressing it to stop accidentally moving to the next or back a slide but all it seems to do is change the light colour from red to green but I can still move back and fro on the slides. Help please.
Thanks

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked at the instructional manual for you and can confirm you press the button of the Targus USB Laser Presenter to enable the Key Lock function. This disables all keys EXCEPT the laser, page forward/next slide and page backwards/previous slide buttons.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.
