"I had a perfectly good modem router... or so I thought.. but having recently purchased a HTC Flyer tablet I noticed the Modem/Router I owned (Belkin) kept dropping the tablet every 3 minutes.. and 10 seconds later would re-connect again.. This was very frustrating.. especially when watching Tv or trying to download a large file..
After some testing I found it WAS my old router and would not do it with Netgear or DLink.. so I opted for this modem because of all the positive reviews.. I still had my fingers crossed though while setting it up... which by the way was a doddle.. I inserted the disc .. just followed each instruction and after 10 mins it was up and running, it was that simple ( I run Windows 7).. It's not quite as fast as my old router (not by much)...BUT.. it's Very stable and has'nt droped my tablet once...In fact I have 5 Wi-Fi gadgets connected..plus my main computer and the Netgear keeps them all connected no problems at all.
I would advise to use the clip on stand to make it upright as it does get a little warm on the underside..as this could lead to overheating if put flat on a work surface.. but as of yet it's been brilliant ( so far 3 months).. I could have actualy got this slightly cheaper from another source, but after I was set up I was so pleased I couldn't be bothered to return it.. I wish I'd bought one before.
If your looking for a Good Modem/Router look no further."

"We selected this due to the reviews, write up and previous owners of a Netgear router.
It was a nightmare to set up as it didn't do so automatically as we were led to believe and the CD was useless. Finding the settings on the old router proved an interesting experience. I am pleased to say my son was at home to help me otherwise we would have been very stuck!
Other than that we are delighted, it's working throughout our old farmhouse."

"Not difficult to set up, but range nothing special.Purchased as I changed my internet supplier who wanted their router back! Did not need to use it but was advised their dedicated help line was excellent, along with reliability. Price was competitive, and £10 cheaper than another well known electrical specialist. Recommended!"

"Good product
Had difficulty in setting it up so contacted my ISP "aol" and found out that they didn't support this model but they gave me a username and password and advised me to contact netgear 40 mins later sorted. Only wish I had known that aol did not support this model before I bought it"
