40" Hitachi TV Saw this in Dec sale and couldn't believe the price. Bought a wall bracket and as it is so thin bought right-angle aerial and hdmi adapters for just a few pounds and fixed it to wall. Looks so sleek against wall with very small border around screen. Picture is excellent and set up easy. Can't think how this could be beaten! 14 January 2014
Excellent puchase I bought this as a present for some friends of mine and they are absolutely delighted with it. The picture quality is excellent, as is the sound quality. They used it for the first time on Christmas Day and said they have never watched so much television! 14 January 2014
A good quality picture but sound quality slightly tinny. Very good value for money. 14 January 2014

Yes, if you are using the 3.5mm headphone socket on the TV to input either headphones or a soundbar the sound from the TV's speakers will be dissabled.

Answer:
I worked as an expat in Brazil up until a few years ago - if you're going to import you need to get a TV that is NTSC (US broadcast standard) compatible since most NET / Brasil SKY boxes will switch (usually in the software setup) to run a NTSC output for the TV. But no imported TV (unless an expensive and difficult to get hold of multi-system model) will work off Brazilian free to air TV - as previous post notes PAL M is unique to Brasil.

Answer:
Brazil uses Pal-M which is unique to Brazil. Only TVs designed for global use will work there (and most of those exclude Brazil anyway). It is highly unlikely any TV bought in UK will work in Brazil.

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your question.

I'm sorry but as the warranty supplied with the Hitachi 40 Inch Full HD LED TV is valid in the UK only, I cannot advise if the TV can be used in Brazil.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.

I have spoken to the supplier, and they advise that the Hitachi 40 Inch Full HD LED TV supports .mpg, .mpeg, .vob, .mkv and .avi video files in the MPEG 1 and MPEG2 format only. It also supports mp3, jpg and jpeg files for music and photos.

Hope this helps, thanks for using Argos Q&A.
