Customer reviews and ratings

Toshiba RDXV60KB Freeview+ 320GB HD TV DVD and VCR Recorder. 4.4 5 37 37
toshiba vhs recorder Quite complicated at first differing types of recording modes but having HDD facility made easier now all my old video tapes are being transposed in high definition and look even better than when I took the video years ago. 19 November 2014
VHS DVD HDD Researched this product from the on line reviews, before I made the purchase. There seems to be only a few choices left for these machines. The reviews were generally very good, so I got one. I am very pleased with the equipment, and so far it is doing everything I expect. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Toshiba RDXV60KB. 23 September 2014
Recording ability Good to be able to record, VHS tape to. Disc. 23 September 2014
Good product This is the third such item we have bought. Each one has done what it said it would do until one of the components gave up the ghost. We have liked it enough to replace it each time. It is super that you can do so much just with one black box 09 September 2014
Pleased with purchase quite easy to use, good appearance, so far best available machine. 09 September 2014

Answer:
Hi Budgie -

I have looked at the instructional manual of the Toshiba RDXV60KB Freeview+ 320GB HD TV DVD and VCR Recorder for you and this in what the manual states -
You can select a recording mode from 5 options.
The recording time will vary depending on the recording mode
you select as follows.
Recording mode
Recording time
Video / Sound
DVD Quality
12 cm
DVD
8 cm HDD
XP 60 min 18 min 68 hrs
SP 120 min 36 min 136 hrs
LP 240 min 72 min 272 hrs
EP 360 min 108 min 409 hrs
SLP 480 min 144 min 545 hrs
? This table is intended for a standard new single-sided
12 cm / 8 cm disc. The recording times are estimates and
actual recording time may differ.
? The audio and video quality becomes poorer as the
recording time gets longer.

Hope this helps -

length of DVD recording from TV

1 month, 3 weeks ago
What is the longest recording I can make from a TV programme? Some films can run to 3 hours - will the DVD recording be able to cope with that kind of length as approx 2 hours is the DVD standard.
I suppose the alternative is to copy to the HDD and then edit it to 2 DVDs Help please!

Answer:
Hello,

I can confirm that Dubbing can be done in either direction: DVD to VHS, or VHS to DVD; also the VHS deck can read from, or write to, a cassette in either SP, or LP mode
