Toshiba 40L1333 40 Inch Full HD 1080p LED TV. 4.5 5 197 204
Great Price This tv is a really good picture is great sound could be a little better tho great design and well priced. 17 July 2014
Needs clearer instructions on how to fit the stand. Otherwise very easy to set up and use. 16 July 2014
Excellent TV Had to buy this as a replacement for a LG tv as my son kicked a ball in the lounge & it cracked the screen. Spent £100 less on the new tv than the old LG, but to be honest the sound is better. True at first, when it comes on the default setting it does sound a little dull, but after the husband tweaked the sound settings & altered the base etc it's great! No problems at all, would recommend to everyone. 15 July 2014
Excellent value for money Brilliantly clear picture, easy to set-up, just lacks optical digital connectivity and better speakers. Overall, a great buy. Much improved image after my old LCD screen. Lightweight and easy to site anywhere. 08 July 2014
Brilliant Product!! Gotta say that after ordering this mid range TV I am absolutely over the moon with it! The picture quality is brilliant and I was pleasantly surprised that it does actually have a built in media player.....even though this was not mentioned in the listings or product description. So far the media player has been able to play any format of video files without any problems at all. The TV itself is very easily put together with its stand and is very easy to use. I do like this TV very much! 01 July 2014

I have connected up the tv and surround sound/DVD. but when I come to play a DVD, I have to swap over the jack lead so that I have complete surround sound. But when I watch the telly through it, it will only have sound in the Multi setting on the dvd. I was adviced to get a optical lead. but neither have this facility. HELP

Answer:
We had a similar problem with a sound bar. We were told to use the headphone port as that is outgoing sound and phono's are incoming. We had a surround sound system before and have gone back to a newer one and have connected the TV to the DVD via HDMI and the six speakers are now connected to the DVD as it has 5.1 surround connectivity. If you DVD only has 2.0 surround then you may need to connect an amplifyer with the connections.

We purchased this TV from Argos and use the remote that came with the TV. While the remote has a red button it doesn't seem do anything.

How do we access red button channels on this this TV?

Surround d sound?

5 months, 1 week ago
Hi

I bought a Panasonic surround sound system and am struggling to connect it to this TV. Can you confirm which connection is required to use a surround sound?

The Panasonic system can connect via HDMI (arc), AUX, Optical.

Thanks

Answer:
We had a surround sound system, however because our bluray player did not have surround support (5.1) we couldn't connect that, as the TV itself does not have optical input (although LG and not very old). The phono's on TV's are input, not output. So we bought a sound bar, and the best way we found to get sound from Bluray, Sky and DVD was to link them all on digital coax. Hope this helps

Just from looking at the pictures the TV doesn't appear to have red green and blue 3.5mm jacks for connection to an xbox 360.

Can someone clarify this for me please?

Answer:
Hello,
I have checked with Toshiba and they have advised that this TV has the following connections:
Number of HDMI: 3, Component Video : Yes (3mm jack), 3.5mm Component Adapter, Composite Video : Yes (3mm jack), 3.5mm Composite Adapter, SCART: 1 (FULL RGB), Analogue audio (Cinch) | Audio (mini jack) : NO (via Side AV), PC Input, Number of USB: 2, Digital Audio Out (Coax), Headphone 3.5mm.
An Xbox 360 can be connected to this TV via HDMI cable, which we would recommend for use with a HD television.
Thanks for using Q&A
