Toshiba 32W1333 32 Inch HD Ready LED TV. 4.5 5 78 80
toshiba tv This TV has great colour and definition also easy to use 29 July 2014
Pleasing for the price Does everything a tv should. I use a HDMI cable to stream Netflix from a laptop to the tv. Works a dream. The picture and sound quality is fine. Very easy set up too. 24 July 2014
Good value but you get what you pay for. The picture quality is a bit "washy" especially when viewed from an angle.. The sound quality is average and the surround sound is poor. None the less, the item does what it "says on the tin" and is good value for money. Nowhere as good as my old 32WLT68 which has lost sound. 24 July 2014
Picture lost after one week Having owned Toshiba TVs for over 10 years, we chose another. Reviews seemed good, as was the price. Everything was okay for one week, then we suddenly lost the picture. Strange acrid smell too. We took the set back and exchanged it for a more expensive Samsung model. Disappointed with Toshiba. 17 June 2014
Does what it says on the tin! I'm not a techi person but my son in law connected TV up with no problem. TV to me looks smart & stylish. I would suggest that you look at a TV at a store before you buy - even though I have the same screen size as my previous model - it's a bit of a shock at first that the TV appears smaller as they are so streamlined. 10 June 2014

If yes, am I able to use the remote off the Freeview + Digital TV Recorder to control basic functions - i.e. channel select and volume ?
Concerned that the person the TV is for, will not be able to manage an 'advanced remote' .

Answer:
Hello,

In order to use the Freeview + DVD Recorders remote to control the basic functions of the TV, the TV and the DVD Recorder need to both have a feature called ?HDMI CEC?

Unfortunately the 32W1333DB does not have this feature.

From Toshiba the customer would require the ?Toshiba 39L4353DB 39 Inch Full HD Freeview HD Smart LED TV (106/5989).

Or look for a TV with the HDMI CEC functionality.

I hope this helps.

Answer:
It depends whether you are connecting it to a supplier box eg. Virgin or Sky or if just using Freeview. If Freeview then you don't need to use a usb cable, just an aerial.

The fireplace contains an electric fire with fan heater blowing in a downward direction and the distance between TV & Fire would be 24 inches.

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and can confirm that a hear rises and the Toshiba 32W1333 32 Inch HD Ready LED TV is located above the fire, the heat may cause damage. If this occurs this will invalidate your 12 month guarantee should your TV develop a fault.
