"FIrst one would not open to home screen , second one internet home page locked , Argos were first class , full refund given , got a samsung galaxy tab 7.0 instead, far better build and layout, keep away from kurio."

Good tablet for kids

"Great looking tablet, good idea to have bumper cover. Preloaded games are great.
The only down is the kurio store doesnt have many top games to download other than angry birds."

First impressions

"I bought this tablet for my 8 year old, and 2 year old to share, as they were always monopolising my tablet. As it is early days yet, I can only give my initial opinion. First, there is a range of applications for different ages, but not many of them...yet. You can make up to 8 accounts, and there is the main admin account, through which you can control the content and internet settings of the sub accounts.
Content can be a bit slow to load, there are a few issues with freezing, and there has been the odd occasion here and there where I have had to restart the system.
The Kurio has an online shop, but oddly, there is more adult content than child content. There are no films as yet, but you supposedly can watch films on it, however I have yet to discover how.
I had occasion to ring Kurio directly, having difficulty inserting an external SD card (which must be pushed all the way flat with the tablet). This was a great experience. Customer service is very helpful, if you have a problem with any of the programmes or functions, they are more than happy to help. I was also informed the online shop will be expanding, adding more ebooks, games and films as well.
Because Kurio is so new, there are bound to be a few bugs, which can be fixed with software updates downloaded onto the device through system updates.
So, in summary, it's a great idea, it isn't perfect, but there is room for improvement, which Kurio are aware of and working on. Still, the kids like it, and that is what matters. I would, and have recommend this to a friend."
