Enjoy the evocative experience of a steam train ride as you roll through the countryside in Victorian style. Anyone who has ever seen a plume of smoke rising from a steam locomotive will know that these machines convey a certain magic, which brings history to life and gives you a real sense of what it would have been like to travel by train

• Arriving at the ticket office is the first step on your journey. You'll notice that many stations retain original features from their heyday as hubs for local travel. Some even have museums where you can learn about the history of the area and the role which steam travel has played.
• When the guard appears and the whistle blows, settle in your seat and enjoy the unmistakable sight, sound and smell as the train leaves the station.
• Typically on selected March to October dates, however some locations are available throughout the year. Excludes Special Events days.
• You will typically spend 1 hour at the venue. Timings may vary depending on the location chosen.
