Handy, neat looking lamp I bought this as a small corner floor lamp to illluminate a battered old gramophone and give a dull corner some character. Succeeds very well for that. For the money, it's excellent. Its less dominating that some of the more expensive lamps in this tripod style, which is important for what I wanted - to get the look without taking up too much space or crowding the room. I chose this over the more expensive ones for this reason. + neat small size but still stylish + great price + handy foot switch - dish is very shallow so you do get sideways glare from the bulb - it would be a bit annoying if you pointed it directly into a room - not a great range of movement on the head - Details are very modern, the floor switch is plasticky, the legs are metal but very basic. Basically a simple, great value, neat version of a very nice style. 30 January 2013
My 1st Tripod Lamp The tripod lamp really stands out in my apartment as all my friends comment on its looks, easy foot on/off switch, has normal screw bulb which is excellent, easy to install, and gives you that professional photographers feel in your home.. 20 November 2012
