Stay Clear A friend of mine recently lost her engagement ring in the snow as it had slipped off her finger. We thought the only way we were gong to find it was with a metal detector. We reserved the item and it was ready for us the next day. However, when we set the thing up, we could not get it to pick up anything whatsoever. We dropped a coin onto the floor, and it wouldnt even pick that up unless the bottom of the detector was touching it!! We increased the sensitivity and followed the instructions again and again to no avail. Bad product, doesnt do what iit says on the box and is a toy at best. Stay clear 05 February 2013
Basic metal detector This product was bought by my 11 year old son. It is easy to use, fairly lightweight, quite hardy but I suggest you keep a spare 9v battery in the empty compartment next to the battery insert area. This is not a negative comment, just a good idea coz for us it ran out in the middle of a field. A pen knife with a screwdriver attachment might also come in handy! Fun detector for your 9+ child. 16 April 2012
