Changing illumination not very bright

"Bought this toaster to match my Breville countdown kettle. I am quite disappointed in the changing illuminations as they are very dim and can only be seen clearly on a night when the kitchen lights are turned down, unlike the matching kettle which is very bright. Otherwise the toaster works fine."
