Good 1.7L Kettle

"We have only had this kettle for two weeks. It looks great in the family kitchen. We like the little blue light and the water window. Easy flip up lid, and easy to fill. Quite noisy, but it is fast boil, unlike my old kettle. Do not fill past the maximum marker or the water can spit out while boiling! and.... Dont take this home and make coffee/tea without cleansing it out first! I did this and it tasted metallic and disgusting.
Boiled with some vinegar in at least twice. Then boiled with lemon juice in, and left to cool. Boiled at least three times more, before attempting to use again. Taste got better, and now tastes fine.
Very happy with this kettle, it gets a lot of use. Very good value too."

kettle was ok but lid wasnt

"kettle was very nice and worked fine for a few days then the lid stopped working.when u pressed the button to release the lid it got stuck and u had to pull it open."

if you like the taste of metal

"Lovely shaped kettle, just what I wanted to match the rest of my kitchen appliances.
Unfortunately after using it the water had a metal taste to it.
The kettle had been boiled as per instructions, treid a few times after that but the metal taste persisted, needless to say I returned the kettle to Argos for a refund!"

nice kettle

"Nice looking kettle, not too high so goes under the tap easily, like the way the top flips open. Easy boil but the cup size on the side is really for small cup sizes and not small mug sizes so you just have to get used to that."
