Good bedside lamp

"This lamp was purchased for my blind mother as her previous one had broken; it is good but unfortunately is not a good purchase for someone blind as the space between the base and shade is too small for someone to easily touch the base. Would be ideal for using in the night"

"Wish it went from off, to bright, through to dimmest.
You have to go through to brightest, and most sleep disturbing stage, to switch off.
