Does the Job This was the only shoe rack I could find on the market that would fit in the space I had available. It certainly does the job at keeping shoes out of the way when they come in the back door from the garden. However, the quality of the wood is very poor and the joints and fixing screw holes do not line up. Make sure you have reasonable DIY skills, an electric drill, a variety of screw drivers, a pot of wood filler and plenty of time to make it look good. I managed but wish the manufacturer had paid me to correct and repair all their mistakes. 23 May 2013

Oh my God! What have I bought??? I did read the reviews for this product and chose to ignore them and go for it anyway. When I saw the sheer amount of pieces in the box, I froze and went into a panic. The instructions were 'ok' to follow but what I didn't anticipate was having to build the shoe rack from 'scratch'. Having no pre-drilled holes to use it was up to me to measure very accurately and decide where I was going to put the numerous screws. I did complete the task (after about six hours), with only a manual screwdriver and I am very happy with the finished product. It looks nice and is very stable and now I am happy that I did put the effort in. If you haven't got the patience or time to build this product I would suggest buying something else. Useful but not easy to assemble I had one of these shoe racks before, and I decided to buy another one so that they can look nice one beside the other. I like the fact that it is possible to have them either assembled to form a high shoe rack or two separate lower ones. However, as mentioned in some of the previous reviews, more than 100 screws must be screwed. Care must also be taken to screw them in a way that the two parts of the rack will fit properly one on the top of the other, and so that the rack will be stable on the floor. One problem that I didn't experience with the previous one that I bought, but experienced with the new one, was that some pieces of the wood cracked while I was screwing, even though this is not really visible after the assembly is complete. 17 April 2013

only needed one realy good for the money comes as two storage racks i only needed one so the other one i am using in the kitchen for storing bottles of pop 13 March 2013

Solid pine tall shoe rack Fits perfect in our small porch. Assembly wasn't all that easy. Had to pretty much make it up as we went along. 27 February 2013
