"The shelf looks great but unfortunately wobbles so would only be useful for displaying a light photoframe or candle etc. It was not suitable for storage, and since this is the reason I bought it I will be returning."

"This is the second floating shelf I have purchased from Argos, the only thing that I thought was dissapointing was the fact there wasnt enough screws and raw plugs with the fittings, luckily I had the right size in my tool box at home!
Looks stylish for the price range though."

"They look beautiful, they really do, however they were poorly designed, the supports arent long enough which causes the shelf to droop slightly. the fixing supplied are way too small for the job and extremely cheap and poor quality but this was fixed by using other fixings,
nice look, and decent price but cheaply made and not sturdy"

"The shelf looks good and now its eventually up, seems ok but i wouldn't recommend much weight.
The main draw back is once the bar is fixed to the wall which supports the shelf, the shelf itself slips over two poles to give it that floating look and your meant to put two screws in the bottom to hold it in place.
But what actually happens is the 'poles' that the shelf slips over are too small. I ended up having to drill through the pole and put larger screws in which went right through to hold it secure and to stop it wobbling.
Other than that it does look nice, a bit more thought could have went into the design but it can be easily modified."

"Bought these as updating furniture to oak...these were to replace beech ones previously bought at Argos about 5 yrs ago. These ones have much sturdier improved wall brackets, so much so, my shelves are now straight on the wall wheras they were not before. They are not very well finished off...I bought four shelves and two were damaged, but only returned one as the damage could not be seen on the other. Also height is 4 cms, not 4.5cms as stated in the description. Overall, I'm pleased with how they look and very pleased I was able to replace my beech ones without having to redecorate."
