Good for picking up long hair
I purchased this as I had one years ago in the 90s and I recall how brilliant they were at lifting long hair from the carpet. Vacuum cleaners just tend to skim over the top or the roller brush gets blocked. This little Bissel is really useful for when you just want to have a quick tidy up.The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that the handle seems very flimsy when you are pushing and pulling the product. I did wonder if a part was actually missing too as my handle looked different to the one in the manual/instructions

Perfect little sweeper
The carpet sweeper is fine. Works well on bare floor, kitchen runner, door mat and even short pile rug. As with any sweeper you just need to make sure the surface is held down while you sweep.

Does the job well!
I had to return the first one as it didn’t have rubber all the way round. However I was able to swap it for another which was I checked before buying it. I am very pleased with the Bec Bissell. It picks up well and is easy to empty. Great that I don’t always have to get the vacuum cleaner out.

Smaller than I expected but works well picks up hair and dust very well , but nothing bigger ...excellent for just a quick freshener on carpet and rugs no good for laminate flooring at all

Brilliant wee sweeper! Didn’t expect much for price but it’s probably as good as hoovering. Great for quick tidy up of crumbs, dog hair etc. it’s a bit tinny and fragile but it does the job

The handle on the Bissell 2314E Sturdy Sweep Manual Floor Sweeper does detach. It comes in sections that screw together, until all sections are either used or desired height reached.

The sturdy sweeper will perform better on flat surfaces due to its design. It would pick up larger pieces on an uneven surface, but it will struggle with small pieces (crumbs) in dips in the flooring.
With regards to this being compact and fit for travel, the handle can be removed at 2 points so it is reduced down to a compactable size.
