Does Not do what it says on the Box
We had to return the first Qualcast Garden Shredder that we purchased as it did not cut anything and only seemed to strip the leaves off. The replacement we purchased does crush it more than the first one but we wonder what the cutting blade does. The box takes a good load and it works silently

this shredder was great as we had just taken down a massive hedge which consisted of many shrubs but the shredder done the job fine and just need to take the bags to the dump now

The worst part about gardening is the tidy up operation. Trimming a huge bush, or clearing out some brambles is a very long job, made all the worse for the endless chopping needed to get them into the bags for disposal.
Enter the shredder, taking an entire branch off a bush, then feeding it into this thing makes the clean up dead easy! It'll eat the branch and collect all the bits in the hopper below. Emptying the hopper into a waste bag is as easy as emptying a lawn mower collection box.

Shredder has plenty of power to handle tree and shrub cuttings. The collector box is a bit lightweight, fairly thin plastic and in my opinion would not stand rough handling. Also collector flexes a bit and this can disconnect the power which only comes on when the collector is fitted. The shredder itself works so well that the collector fills up quickly so you find you have to empty it frequently. The end result is that you can make seemingly huge quantities of shrubbery disappear like magic.
