Impressive first mower!

"Unpacked my Challenge Xtreme and found it easy to assemble, I did take the handle off a few times to re-position the cables (as I like things to be neat).
After a trip out to get some oil and petrol I went to start the mower. To my delight it started first time!
The controls were all straight forward and the self-propelled feature is quite fun to use.
My only slight annoyance is that the oil level on the dipstick is not obvious although I'm sure as the oil gets older and darker this won't be an issue.
I was pleased with my first cut using the second highest blade height.
I did have my apprehensions since I'd only ever seen my dad use a cylinder mower with the roller at the back. I have to say though if you're not bothered about having stripes then I have no faults to pick with the Xtreme Challenge!
My wife has since used it successfully without my assistance."

"I only have a small lawn but after a recent hip replacement I wanted something easy to use. Being self propelled is a great help to me.Easy to start , easy to use & easy to empty. Bought while on special offer was an added bonus as I almost certainly would have been just as happy at the full price."

"Just moved into a new /old house in normandie , grass has not been cut for 3years plus there are 17 apple trees . A struggle but this mower did the job , exellent machine for the price"

"Great cut, and ease of use compared to my previous petrol mower. Chose the self propelled and glad of it, only downside is that it's harder to pull backwards (and I haven't got the drive handle pressed!) - although that's only on the detail bits where u have to go back and forward. For normal lengths and forward cuts it does a good job. Also grass bag/box ought to be bigger for the machine in my oppinion. I compare this review to the amount paid, rather than other mowers that are available. Overall, so far, satisfied."

"I purchased this mower after my previous petrol one gave up the ghost. After getting over the fact that I did not have to push any more and have stopped being dragged around my garden, I now enjoy using this product as it has me at a set pace and has made mowing some of the slopes in my garden a lot easier."
